I always work[ed at] home diligently. Never did turn in that [home]work though. Rich learning poor grades. All these years later...rather than succumb to my poor attention, memory and time management, I've worked just as diligently to hack my executive functioning challenges so that I may remain enriched by academic challenges and challenging academics.

​Proud "orch dork" from third through twelfth grade. I remain a bonafide nerd, am just no longer in the orchestra. I should take my violin out from under the bed though.

No try-outs? No Problem! Joined the middle school track team. Hurdles were my specialty. So was finishing last.

Ironic that as an editor, Babysitters Club was the only recreational reading I did as a kid. I've come a long way and now read real books and have graduated from the [hiring-the-]Babysitters Club. Ever hear of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance? The weirdest juxtaposition of words in a book title for sure.

Camper4life mentality. Once a camper always a camper. Especially one from a sleepaway camp. Camping over glamping any day. Approach everything like it's just another day of camp.

I'm that person who notices mistakes in books, Instagram posts, on billboards, signage, restaurant menus. I'm still shocked to find them every single time. How is it that they get published and printed?

Music obsessed. Compulsively curating playlists in Spotify. I'm the one who takes note of what song's playing in the background of a commercial, moving me along the produce section at Trader Joe's, keeping me company as I wait in line at the coffee shop, calming my nerves while on hold for customer service. And if I like it, I'll incorporate it into one of my (mood-conjuring, genre-based, activity-based, child-specific) playlists.
