Stop and smell the roses isn't just a platitude to me. I live and breathe (literally) the mantra every day. Life is all about the small moments.
Stopping and smelling sweet honeysuckle on a walk, seeing the beauty in nature and the good in people around us, realizing the inter-connectivity of the world, making sense of life's causes and effects, appreciating the rain for the sustenance it brings to the ecosystem rather than the inconvenience it brings to our day.
I enjoy making people happy and I love surprises. I like holding the door for a stranger just to see that small smile in return. I take great pleasure in making conversation with cashiers, as a little reminder that these interactions are not just a means to an end, but are actually good for humanity.
I feel the most fulfilled when giving advice that is deeply valued by friends and family. Especially when I have the opportunity to nurture my creative energies while doing so.
Hope this helps give some perspective to my new endeavor!
